Ralph Bakshi may have been a subconscious influence, cause I have seen some of his films. Blottie is sort of a combination of Betty Boop, Edith Bunker, and Barney Gumble. In the first Fester cartoon, I was just trying to subvert the audience's expectation of Fester's girlfriend looking like him in drag, as is common for old cartoon characters (Minnie Mouse, Daisy Duck, Petunia Pig, Honey, etc) but then I decided to keep her in the series.
